Holly Hepburn – The Little Shop of Hidden Treasures

Antony Harwood Literary Agency author, Holly Hepburn, has been shortlisted in the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award category with her novel, The Little Shop of Hidden Treasures, for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s (RNA) annual Romantic Novel Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction in all its forms.

Holly is the bestselling author of seven novels. She lives just outside London with her golden Labrador, Luna, and loves long walks and country pubs. When she isn’t writing she can be found trying all kinds of things in the name of book research, from scuba diving to blacksmithing.

She commented, ‘I am utterly thrilled to be shortlisted for the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award in 2023. I hold the RNA in such high esteem and admire them greatly – is there any greater honour than to be shortlisted for one of their awards?’

Jane Lovering – A Cottage Full of Secrets

North Yorkshire author, Jane Lovering, has been shortlisted in the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award category with her novel, A Cottage Full of Secrets, for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s (RNA) annual Romantic Novel Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction in all its forms.

Jane, who lives near Kirkbymoorside, has written 25 published novels in various genres and has been published since 2008. Her hobbies are biscuits and trying to remember where she left the car.

She commented, ‘I am absolutely bowled over and squealingly delighted, to the extent that, in an attempt to avoid cliches, I am inventing words like ‘squealingly’. I’m really and truly honoured to be shortlisted.’

Ali McNamara – Cornish Clouds and Silver Lining Skies

Cambridgeshire author, Ali McNamara, has been shortlisted in the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award category with her novel, Cornish Clouds and Silver Lining Skies, for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s (RNA) annual Romantic Novel Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction in all its forms.

Ali lives in Cambridgeshire with her family and her beloved dogs. In her spare time she likes antique shopping, people watching, and daydreaming, usually accompanied by a good cup of coffee! Ali has the chronic illness M.E./CFS and is a disability and invisible disability advocate.

She commented, ‘I am delighted to be nominated for an RNA award once more. However, this time feels particularly special, as this novel features a main character who has an invisible disability, something I feel particularly passionate about as I also live with the same chronic illness.’

CORNISH CLOUDS AND SILVER LINING SKIES (Publisher: Sphere)

Perth author, Rebecca Raisin, has been shortlisted in the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award category with her novel, Elodie’s Library of Second Chances, for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s (RNA) annual Romantic Novel Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction in all its forms.

Rebecca writes heartwarming romance with a focus on friendship and new beginnings. Her books are set in far-flung places around the world so her readers can armchair travel any day of the week. Rebecca aims to write characters you can see yourself being friends with – people with big hearts who care about relationships and believe in true love. Her bestselling novel Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop has been optioned for film with MRC studios and Frolic Media.

She commented, ‘I’m truly honoured to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. I hoped to shine a light on the importance of libraries and storytelling and their role in bringing communities together so to have this book resonate with readers is such a thrill.’

Helen Rolfe – Finding Happiness at Heritage View

Boldwood Books author, Helen Rolfe, has been shortlisted in the Contemporary Romantic Novel Award category with her novel, Finding Happiness at Heritage View, for the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s (RNA) annual Romantic Novel Awards for 2023. The awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction in all its forms.

Helen writes contemporary women’s fiction and enjoys weaving stories about family, friendship, secrets, and relationships. Characters often face challenges and must fight to overcome them, but above all, Helen’s stories always have a happy ending. Location is a big part of the adventure in Helen’s books and she enjoys setting stories in different cities and countries around the world. So far, locations have included Melbourne, Sydney, New York, Connecticut, Bath and the Cotswolds. She also loves creating village settings or places with a small-town feel and a big sense of community.

She commented, ‘With so many fantastic books out there it’s a real honour to reach the shortlist for 2023!’
