Full details are available to download for the one-to-ones and speaker schedule and you can register now. Please note: one-to-one bookings open on 3rd June – please download and read the one-to-one pack carefully before you apply. You must register for the conference before submitting your one-to-one application.

We were gutted to have to cancel our annual conference for 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but you can not keep a good conference down, so this year we’re going virtual. It won’t be the same as a normal conference but there will be fantastic talks and opportunities for one-to-ones with leading agents and editors.

The fee for our virtual mini-conference will be £35 for RNA members and £50 for non-members, and you will get access to the opportunity to apply for up to three virtual one to ones and access to all our Saturday talks and workshops. The full schedule details will be available to download, and registration for our virtual mini-conference will open, wc 25th May so keep checking this page.

The planned schedule is:

Friday 10th July – One to one day

Virtual one to ones will be available with:

Literary agents including Diana Beaumont, Hannah Ferguson, Hattie Grunewald, Robbie Guillory, Samar Hammam, Lina Langlee, Giles Milburn, Kate Nash, Julia Silk, Hayley Steed, Tanera Simons, and Susan Yearwood;

Editors from Aria, Avon, Bookouture, Harper Fiction, Hera Books, HQ, Little Brown, Mills & Boon, One More Chapter, and Orion;

And freelance editor, Joanne Grant.

Saturday 11th July – Speaker day

Online sessions throughout the day:

Stuart Bache’s Cover Design Lab;

Julie Cohen on Creating Character out of Thin Air;

Therese Keating, Bookouture Commissioning Editor, on The Fine Art of Submission;

Virginia Heath on The Dark Art of Snappy Dialogue;

The Mills & Boon editorial team on Creating Conflict;

and

Julie Morris on Why Bloggers are an Author’s Best Friend.

Saturday will end with a Facebook live session at 8pm, open to everyone, from the RNA Facebook page where our Chair, Alison May will announce the winner of the Elizabeth Goudge contest and raise a glass to the RNA’s 60th Anniversary Year.
