International best selling romantic novelist Katie Fforde is also the President of the Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA).

The RNA invites you to join us in a live celebration of Katie’s 70th birthday where Katie will be in conversation with author Jean Fullerton, Chair of the RNA.

Katie and Jean will be discussing Katie’s writing journey with advice about ‘Writing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them’.

Tickets cost £5 or £3 for those on a low income or unwaged. Katie has requested that all proceeds are donated to funding a place on the RNA’s New Writers’ Scheme or a place at the RNA’s annual conference for a writer on a low income or unwaged.

Katie Fforde is the author of over 20 internationally bestselling romantic novels, many of which have been turned into TV films. Katie lives in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds with her family. She is founder of the Katie Fforde Bursary for writers who have yet to secure a publishing contract. She was a patron of the UK’s first National Short Story Week. In 2016, she launched the Stroud Contemporary Fiction Writing Competition as part of the first Stroud Book Festival. Katie undertakes meticulous background research for her novels and this has involved her working as a porter in an auction house, taking part in survivalist training and learning pottery and flamenco dancing. Jean Fullerton is a bestselling author and Chair of the RNA. Born in the East End of London, Jean is known as the’ Queen of the East End Saga’ and her novels are imbued with historical accuracy.
