Things We Do for Love and Science by Ruth Krämer (Champagne Book Group):
I’m excited to have graduated from the NWS where I learned all the skills needed to finally get my novel published. Full disclosure: my debut is manuscript number three, the other two are resting peacefully in the drawer. To be a contender for the Joan Hessayon Award is a dream come true.

Love Rebooted by Katy Summers (Audible)
I am absolutely thrilled to be a contender for such a prestigious award. Being part of the NWS was incredibly rewarding in itself – providing a community, a support network, and new friends – along with such constructive, detailed, and encouraging feedback. I was able to move forward with confidence and self-belief when it came to finishing my book. It’s an honour to be amongst such great company for this year’s Joan Hessayon Award. This is a delicious cherry on top of the wonderful cake of becoming a debut author.

Secrets at Sunset by Vanessa Woolley (Kingsley Publishers)
I am so pleased and grateful to be considered for this award. I have read many of the books that were nominated in previous years and feel honoured to be considered alongside these incredible authors. It is such a great opportunity for debut novelists and shows just how much the RNA supports those at the beginning of their careers. Thank you!
