ROMANTIC NOVELISTS’ ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES NEW READER MAGAZINE!

4 June 2025

We are delighted to announce the launch of our magazine exclusive to readers of romance. The first edition of Romance Matters: Reader Edition is available from June 4th and is romantasy-themed. Articles include an exploration of why the blend of romance and fantasy is so popular, as well as our recommendations for readers eager to explore the breadth of the genre. We also showcase the nominees and winners of our prestigious Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2025.

Our new, free e-magazine mixes thoughtful discussions about romance with author interviews and a dash of whimsy through our quizzes and “Dear Abby”-style letters from popular romance characters.

Editor-in-Chief, Julia Boggio, said, “This is a proud moment for the RNA, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. Romance Matters: Reader Edition is our way of sharing the association’s expertise with readers and also of saying thank you for their support. Our membership includes writers from across the globe and across romance genres, from New York Times and Sunday Times bestsellers to debut authors, so we have a lot of knowledge in our ranks. We’re looking forward to forging a closer relationship with the people who love our work.”

The Romance Matters: Reader Edition is a bi-annual publication, with the next issue coming in early December. Each issue will focus on a different romance genre.
