Writing a novel or series in a coastal or country setting
£0.00
With Jessica Redland
This course will run in March 2022.
Are you writing or would you be interested in writing a novel or series of books set in a coastal or country setting? Would you like to understand how an international bestselling contemporary romance author has created two beloved settings – one coastal and one in the country – to which readers would love to relocate? If so, then this is the ideal course for you.
Across four one-hour interactive sessions, Jessica Redland will explore how to create an engaging and memorable coastal or country setting. Referencing her own settings as well as those in other books, films and TV series, Jessica will explore the initial considerations around the suitability of the setting for your novel, how to develop the setting, the creation of appropriate characters and of a suitable plot.
You will leave the course having discussed the key ingredients needed to create a memorable coastal or country setting; something you’ll already have started developing with the practical exercises throughout the course.
