Allie Spencer is the author of five romantic comedy novels, two of which have been shortlisted for the prestigious Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance and one of which won the Romantic Novelists’ Association debut novel award.
She is an experienced tutor and lecturer, teaching both creative writing and English Literature and is currently completing a PhD on the eighteenth-century novel. Alongside this, Allie is also a qualified barrister and spent several years as a matrimonial and family law specialist.
She recently completed her PhD, with a thesis entitled ‘Disappearing Wives? An Analysis of Literature, Law and Society in the Long Eighteenth Century.’
