Anita is a compulsive writer and creative tutor, who caught the writing habit as a child and has spent a lifetime trying to get other people hooked. Born in Salford, and trained at The Place, and London Film School, Anita now lives between the East Coast of Essex, and the South Coast of Andalucía, with her husband and Basque Shepherd dog.
A former filmmaker, dancer, and arts manager, her career trademark has been to develop and nurture creative talent amongst artists, local communities and children by developing programmes in media, literature and performing arts.
She is now a full-time novelist, and also teaches creative writing workshops for Spread the Word in London, as well as working in schools in Essex to encourage the next generation of creative writers.
Anita is passionate about Art and History and writes 20th century historical fiction which explores how the past ripples through the generations with unintended consequences.
