Donna spent years writing bad horror stores and poetry before turning her hand to writing romance novels. It took a few more years to get the story right, and she was helped along by the help of the fantastic RNA and their New Writer’s Scheme.
Donna was awarded the Katie Fforde Bursary in 2017, along with fellow author Erin Green. Five months later she met Natasha Harding from Bookouture at an RNA conference who offered to mentor her through the WoMentoring Project – this ultimately led to a three-book deal. Her first novel, Summer at the Castle Café, published soon after.
When Donna isn’t lost in her latest novel, she works for an online retailer where she buys beauty and cleaning products (and indulges her other great passion – moisturiser).
Originally from Buckinghamshire, Donna lived in Lancashire and London before settling in Hertfordshire. Here she lives with her very own romantic hero Chris and two fantastic teenagers Erren and Charlie, along with a couple of warring cats.
