Elizabeth Hawksley started writing when she was six. Her eleven historical novels are all set in the UK, ranging from the Scottish Highlands to Cornwall. Her London book, Frost Fair, was short-listed for the Elizabeth Goudge Award. All her books are in large print. Elizabeth’s books have been described as witty and well-researched adventure stories, with plenty of romantic interest and splendid villains.

She has also co-authored Getting the Point, a punctuation guide for adults, with Jenny Haddon.

Elizabeth teaches Creative Writing and enjoys giving workshops and talks. She reads for the RNA New Writers’ Scheme, and reviews for the Historical Novel Society.

She was born in Darlington and now lives in London.
