I was born in London in 1954. I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Modern History in 1976, married in 1977, and taught for four years before my first child was born in 1982. I then took up freelance copy-editing and indexing (academic books), along with writing (fiction and educational books).
I now live in Cornwall with my husband and my younger daughter. My hobbies are reading, singing, knitting, walking and gardening. My first novel, Beauty for Ashes, the story of one man’s rollercoaster emotional and spiritual journey, was published in the US in 2007 by Wings e-Press. The second, a mystery romance set in a Hampshire village and entitled St Martin’s Summer, and its sequel, You Owe Me Five Farthings, came out in 2018 and 2019 respectively, from the same publisher.
