Nicole Evelina is an American historical fiction and contemporary romantic comedy writer from St. Louis, Missouri. Her four books have won nearly 20 awards, including Book of the Year designations for Daughter of Destiny and Camelot’s Queen.
Nicole’s writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Independent Journal, Curve Magazine and numerous historical publications. She is one of only six authors who completed a week-long writing intensive taught by #1 New York Times bestselling author Deborah Harkness, whom she now considers a mentor.
As an armchair historian, Nicole is a research geek, a task she could happily do for the rest of her life. She loves to travel as part of her research and firmly believes that while she’s American by birth and Austrian and German by blood, her soul is English. She’s been to six countries (including three trips to England) and is eagerly anticipating her next European adventure.
When she’s not writing, Nicole can be found playing with her spoiled twin Burmese cats or dreaming of living in Chicago or the English countryside. And of course, plotting her next book!
