Rachel Dove is an adult education teacher living in West Yorkshire with her husband and two young sons. She is the winner of the Prima/Mills & Boon Flirty Fiction Competition 2015 and the Writers Bureau Writer of the Year award 2016.
She is a member of Inkslinger Books UK and together they produce horror/fantasy anthologies with all proceeds going to Cancer charities. Although Rachel writes romantic fiction, she has a dark side that often creeps out into her writing.
Rachel has a Cert Ed and BA Hons in the Arts and is working on her MA in Creative Writing (in between writing, devouring books under a blanket, being a football mum on a weekend and taking care of small humans.)
She now writes around her family and students and has been featured in local and national newspapers, magazines and radio. She has had short stories published in the UK and overseas, and her book The Chic Boutique on Baker Street was published in April 2016 and hit #2 in the rural life humour chart. She now writes for HQ Stories and Manatee Books, and is always working on her next novel.
Hailing from the North, she firmly believes that she lives in the best place in the world, with the best tea. Her books attempt to catch a flavour of this Yorkshire spirit.
In 2018 Rachel founded the Rachel Dove NWS bursary, giving one working-class writer a year a fully funded place on the scheme.
