Tracy Baines is the author of The Variety Girls – a saga series set in variety theatres during WW2 and published by Ebury/Penguin.
Her short stories and articles have been published in magazines in the UK and overseas including Woman’s Weekly, The Lady, Take A Break, My Weekly, The People’s Friend, Best and Candis.
She contributes regularly to Frost Magazine and is involved with the charity Words for the Wounded which raises funds through writing competitions and events to support injured forces personnel.
Originally from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, Tracy now lives in Dorset with her husband and springer spaniel, Harry. Her children live close by.
