'A completely compelling story of family secrets, courage and resilience' Fearne Cotton

Eadie Browne is a quirky kid and something of an outsider. She lives in a small town with eccentric parents and she's bullied at school. Arriving at Manchester University in the late 1980s, Eadie discovers a novel freedom she never imagined. With her new-found friendships and independence she's embracing the ride – until, one night, her past comes hurtling back into her life and everything changes. A decade later, the Millennium beckons and Eadie is 30 with a marriage in tatters. Travelling back to where she grew up for funeral she can't quite comprehend, she contemplates all that was then and all that is now, in this emotional love letter to youth.

Freya North will be in-conversation with Kathleen Whyman, author of Wife Support System and Would You Ask My Husband That?
