Charlotte Ledger – Finalist In Publisher And/or Editor Of The Year
28 October 2022
Charlotte Ledger is the Publishing Director of One More Chapter. She started in publishing in 2011 at Mills & Boon before moving across to HarperCollins in 2013. Since then, she has worked across commercial fiction from debut Sally Page to million-copy bestseller Julie Caplin.
A champion for digital publishing, Charlotte was highly commended at the Futurebook awards and won the Book Marketing Society’s Best Shoestring Campaign for her work on the first online romance festival. She was shortlisted for The Bookseller and SYP’s Trailblazer of the Year award and has won the RNA’s Publisher of the Year award twice.
‘It’s hard to find the words to describe what it means to be nominated for this award. The past few years have been some of the toughest but like so many readers around the world, I’ve found solace in the pages of romance books, whether editing for work or reading for pleasure, and so to be nominated by the very people who write these books and bring joy to so many including myself is very special. Thank you so much for the nomination. It truly is an honour.’
Laura James, the RNA Industry Awards organiser, added, ‘I congratulate each and every finalist and thank them and the industry for the unwavering love they show writers and readers of romantic fiction.’
The awards have been held for the past eight years and are highly respected in the UK publishing industry. The finalists are nominated by the full and probationary membership of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, with a panel of independent judges selecting the shortlists.
The award categories are: The Romantic Bookseller of the Year, Inclusion Award, Indie Champion of the Year, Library or Librarian of the Year, Indie Editor of the Year, Cover Designer of the Year, Narrator of the Year, Media Star of the Year, Agent of the Year, and Publisher and / or Editor of the Year.
The winners of the ten awards will be announced during the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s Winter Party and Industry Awards ceremony, which is being held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London City, 8-14 Cooper’s Row, London EC3N 2BQ, on Friday 11th November 2022 at 6.30pm.
