Kate Frost for One Winter’s Night:
The email announcing my book was shortlisted for The Christmas/Festive Holiday Award dropped into my inbox at the end of a busy, challenging and tiring week and raised my spirits no end. I was so shocked and delighted I had to read the email numerous times to be sure, then was buzzing for the next few days! This book holds a special place in my heart so I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured. My heartfelt thanks to the RNA and the reader-judges for choosing One Winter’s Night for the shortlist, plus my editor Caroline and fabulous publisher Boldwood for helping to make it the best book it could be.

Marissa Stapley for Three Holidays and a Wedding:
I couldn’t be more honoured to be nominated, along with my co-author and dear friend Uzma Jalaluddin, for this prestigious award. We had so much fun writing this novel together, but it was also incredibly meaningful for us to work together to share a holiday novel that included many faiths and we knew would make every reader feel a sense of belonging. Uzma Jalaluddin for Three Holidays and a Wedding:
We are beyond thrilled that our multi-faith holiday romcom has been nominated for the Romantic Novel of the Year Award, in the holiday festive category! It was a dream to work together to collaborate on THREE HOLIDAYS AND A WEDDING. We both grew up in diverse Toronto, and wanted to capture the joy not just in Christmas, but also in Hanukkah and Ramadan, and give voice to a variety of stories and experiences during the holiday season!
