19 April 2024

Congratulations to all the finalists in the Fantasy Romantic Novel Award!

Girl Goddess Queen by Bea Fitzgerald

Bea Fitzgerald for Girl, Goddess, Queen:
I am honoured to be shortlisted for the Fantasy Romantic Novel award. The joy of fantasy romance for me is the way fantasy elevates the high stakes of romance and at its core, Girl, Goddess, Queen is a celebration of love and its power to heal. I’m so delighted that the romance in my book has been recognised in this way.

Maybe next time by Cesca Major

Cesca Major for Maybe Next Time:
It’s such an honour to be shortlisted for the RNA Awards. I’m so proud to write books for women who want to read stories that celebrate joy, humour and love in all its many forms and it’s so lovely for MAYBE NEXT TIME – a book born out of my own experience of being a busy working mother to be recognised in this way. Thank you all!

Rosie Mullender for Ghosted:
When I received the email telling me I’d been shortlisted, I assumed it was a press release – so when I opened it out of curiosity and saw my own name written down, I could hardly believe it! It’s such a huge honour to have been shortlisted for this award by readers. They’ve been an incredibly supportive bunch throughout my writing career so far, so to have Ghosted recognised in this way is absolutely wonderful. I’m also excited that more people might get to know my main character, Andy – who is totally adorable, despite being dead.

Suzanne Wright for The Wicked in Me:
I can’t fully put into words how it feels to be shortlisted. It’s humbling and flattering and amazing. If I could hug everyone who voted for THE WICKED IN ME I would.

Rachel Greenlaw for One Christmas Morning:
I’m thrilled to have been nominated for such a prestigious award. For me, fantasy romance in all its forms is my very favourite genre to read and write, so being nominated is a real honour.
