Tugging at the Heartstrings

Whether you write standalone books or in series, you want your readers to love your work and keep coming back for more. You can do this by tugging on their heartstrings, giving readers an emotional connection to your characters, their story and the setting. In this interactive workshop, I’ll explore how to bring emotion into your writing in a way which connects with your readers so that they feel what your character feels. We’ll look at specific scenes from my novels which have tugged on the heartstrings and build on some example scenes. Bring a pen, paper and maybe a packet of tissues!
