Join us at Royal Holloway University London from 9th to 11th August 2024 for a packed programme designed to take your writing career to the next level.

Whether you are just starting your writing journey, are already published or a well-established author, indie or traditionally published, we have a weekend full of practical workshops, talks and panels that will teach you something new. Our carefully curated list of speakers includes Sunday Times bestselling authors, bestselling indie authors, publishing industry professionals, the Alliance of Independent Authors and marketing experts.

There are also opportunities to pitch your stories to publishers and agents direct and receive feedback to help you improve it. At last year’s conference, there were 101 requests for full or partial manuscripts!

And the RNA Conference isn’t all work and no play. Whether you choose a residential, non-residential or day pass package, it is an inclusive and friendly environment to network and socialise during the day and well into the evenings, with just turn up quizzes and the fabulous Gala Party and Disco.

Getting there

Royal Holloway University of London, Egham Hill, Egham, Surrey TW20 0EX

By car: Just off Junction 13 of the M25 with plenty of free parking spaces on campus.
By train: Nearest railway station is Egham (15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from the campus).
By plane: Nearest airport is Heathrow (15 minutes away by taxi) with domestic flights arriving from all over the UK.

Accommodation

All bedrooms are ensuite and have a double bed as standard with shared kitchen facilities. There are lifts to all floors and fully accessible rooms are available with step-free wet rooms.

Accessibility

All buildings and accommodation have lifts and ramps. Hearing loops are available in the teaching blocks. There are both disabled and gender-neutral toilets in all buildings. There is plenty of Blue Badge parking spaces at both the accommodation and all the campus buildings.
