Authors use headshots all the time: in their books, in interviews, and on socials. A good photo shows that you care about your personal brand. As the blog coordinator for the RNA and a pro photographer, I’m amazed by how many photos I see with authors squinting into the sun, harsh light across the face, and pot plants growing out of heads.
